As I have resources ready I'll be sure to put course specific resources below! As a starting place, I'm often inspired by the work done by Perimeter Institute and Chris Meyer.

If you want to get started on some hands on activities for senior physics (SPH3U and SPH4U specifically), in the pandemic I created a bunch of at home labs students could do to experience physics while in a virtual course. These can be used at home today or brought into the classroom, depending on your comfort level and current restrictions you are facing in the classroom. You'll find demo videos here with sample student worksheets in each videos comments.

Scroll below to find activities/lessons/things that you can use in your physics classroom! Note I teach in Ontario so lessons are then tailored to the SPH3UI or SPH4UI program.

Portfolios!

I've tried handouts students fill in to track their progress or general portfolios that are built into digital classrooms like Brightspace. My favourite is a Google Slides based portfolio. Special thanks to Ms. Klassen (@aledaklassen) for the inspiration!

Grade 9 Destreamed Science

I have the honour and privilege to do a deep dive into the SNC1W curriculum and teach it at my school this September. Check below for resources as I pull them together and iron out the kinks in my own classroom.

Portfolios!

My plan is to scaffold my current version of the portfolio for the 9's to be more specific with weekly slide pushes to support their growth and learning. I'll post my portfolio when I have a plan in place :D
